Combined soccer/football pitch at La Grâce de Dieu in Caen, with a dedicated baseball section. In addition to manufacturing the 11-a-side goals, folding in goals and team shelters, Metalu Plast was also asked to supply the ball-stops enclosure and handrails with dB-Lock system, with concrete base plate. We’re already talking about a beautiful, complete pitch.
But the most impressive part of this order is the backstop. The Backstop is a baseball-specific enclosure, located behind a batter to protect the audience in the event of a miss. In this case, the Backstop is a bipod fence with shutters, 12.5 m high and 40 m long. This is a highly technical “high-rise” fence, and the calculation note used to dimension the structure gave us an exceptional result, with sections of Ø 114/114 mm.
